Graphical panels are matrix touch panels with additional decorative printing.The electrical system consists of two layers of etched glass and ITO film. Microscopic (0,035mm) transparent spacer dots are used here as a spacer layer. Decorative printing is applied from the bottom of an overlay, which makes it stratch-resistant. The principle of operation is analogical to standard membrane keyboards (touching the active place causes closing the circuit and short-circuit of appropriate pins). It is possible to develop a panel so as to act as a touch keyboard and matrix touch panel for LCD at the same time. This solution does not require additional controller.
