Dissipative properties of silicone are perfect for applications which require keyboard backlight. Technological capabilities of making overlays make multicoloured backlight is not a problem. With appropriate assumptions, it is possible to design selective illumination, but usually the entire surface of overlays is illuminated simultaneously.
